Referendum Results: Student Services Complex, Health Services Expansion and 100.3 Sound FM

The Federation of Students is happy to announce the results of the three concurrent referendum questions. Students were asked to decide the future of a proposed Student Services Complex, and Expansion to Health Services and a fee to support 100.3 Sound FM.

The results of all three questions arebinding, having met quorum: a simple majority with at least 7% of thetotal student body.

The referendum result is a binding "no"resolution with 9.6%% of students voting against the proposal.

Students can expect updates toStudents’ Council from the Federation of Students Executive regarding the expansion of Health Services and the process movingforward.

The Referendum Committee would like to direct questions relating to 100.3 Sound FM to the Federation of Students Executive, or members of 100.3 Sound FM.

Questions related to the proposed Student Services Complex can be directed to the Federation of Students Executive.

ojfreder, I hope you understand that the SLC cannot be expanded anymore, and so you were not voting for its expansion. We're talking about a new building in the parking lot in front of SCH for additional student space.

At least health services looks like it'll get expanded, heck it needs it.

 

i agree with not expanding the slc but I think the Sound FM would be a great idea. I dont think it should be passed up.
